Overview
The VMR Outlet Metered PDU adds advanced outlet current and power metering capabilities to an intelligent power switching / reboot control solution to provide network support techs with a reliable, proactive approach to network power management. Accurate, effective per-outlet power metering, backed up by an array of versatile event monitoring functions can closely tracks trends, conditions and events at remote equipment installations, allowing administrators to detect signs of potential trouble and anticipate power consumption needs. Current monitoring capabilities are complimented by reliable, remote power reboot and switching functions, to remotely restore unresponsive devices and switch outlets On/Off as needed.
The VMR’s power control and monitoring capabilities work together to measure and report energy consumption data, provide a clearer perspective on emerging problems and supply a means for correcting issues at remote sites without the need for a service call or truck roll.
