RoHS Statement
Worldwide concerns over health and environmental risks associated with the use of certain environmentally-sensitive materials in electronic products has led the European Union to enact the Directive on the Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS), to restrict the use of cadmium, hexavalent chromium, lead, mercury and certain halogenated flame retardants (PBBs and PBDEs) in electronic products. The RoHS directive will take effect in the European Union July 1, 2006.
To comply with the RoHS directive, WTI has purchased RoHS compliant parts and has made a substantial investment in new production equipment. Western Telematic now has a "Lead Free" manufacturing process. WTI has not used hexavalent chromium, PBBs, PBDEs, cadmium or mercury in any products since 1999.
Older legacy products may not be RoHS compliant due to the fact that some parts are obsolete or cannot be crossed to Lead Free components. All new designs are RoHS compliant.
