No one wants to dedicate a PC for collecting call records! If your PC based call accounting system is connected directly to your PBX, the PollCat CRB can buffer incoming PBX data, thus freeing up the PC. The CRB can record data from any PBX that sends ASCII call records via an RS232 interface. The CRB also allows baud rates to be individually set; data can be recorded at one speed and simultaneously output at another speed.

256K or 512K Non-Volatile Memory
The CRB provides a substantial improvement over cheap DRAM printer buffers. Call records stored on a DRAM printer buffer can be corrupted by the slightest power glitch; the CRB is available with either 256K or 512K of non-volatile, battery backed memory, and can reliably store data for up to 60 days, even when power to the unit is off.
High Speed Data Transfer
Buffered data can be transferred from the CRB to your PC at rates up to 11,500 characters per second.
Dual Compression Storage
The Dual Compression Storage method can more than double the amount of characters that can be stored in memory. Based on a typical 80 character call record format, the 256K unit can store approximately 9,800 records.
"Poll-Now" Signal
The CRB's "Poll-Now" signal can trigger your PC based polling software to automatically access the unit and retrieve stored data when memory becomes full.
"Almost-Full" Audible Alarm
The audible alarm can emit a beeping tone when CRB memory is over 80% full, notifying the user that it is time to retrieve call data. The intensity of the beeping tone increases as memory becomes more full.
Pass-Through Mode for PBX Programming
The CRB's Pass-Through mode allows bidirectional communication between your PC and the PBX, allowing access to PBX programming and maintenance functions
