Network managers now have a cost-effective way to access console or AUX ports on network hardware without costly SNMP in-band restrictions. The CPM series of RS-232 console port switch allows both on-site and dial-up remote communications with any equipment designed with an RS-232 command port. This can eliminate the need to travel toequipment closets or worse yet, to remote sites. Even when the network is down, the CPM allows out-band communications with your control ports via POTS line and modem.

The CPM units are electronic data switches with individual port parameters, so communicating with ports of dissimilar baud rates is possible. Each port can be assigned a name (ie "ROUTER_1 or SERVER_NNN) to simplfy your remote access to your control ports. Password protection prevents unauthorized entry, and all parameters are stored and protected in non-volatile memory. The CPM series comes in 115 and 230V models, and are 19" rack ready. The CPM is available in, 8 and 16-port models, and is also available in a 4-port racked or stand alone version, and our newest addition to the CPM family is our CPM-6400 unit, which is expandable to 64 ports.
