Network equipment sometimes "locks-up", requiring a trip to flip the power switch off and then back on. This can be done remotely, and with the Heavy Duty version of the Western Telematic's Remote Power Switch, it can be done on any device that does not exceed 15 Amps.
The RPS-10-HD works like the other light duty units. It is controlled by a password and control string that tells the unit to remove the power temporarily to reboot a device or turn it off until it is turned back on again.
The RPS-10-HD can be rack-mounted or distributed throughout the facility for better control of 115 VAC equipment. A status report will even provide the system operator with the status of each switch.
