Electronic equipment sometimes "locks-up", requiring a service call just to flip the power switch to do a simple reboot. The TPS-2 Telnet Power Switch gives you the ability to perform this function from anywhere on the LAN/WAN, or if the network is down, to simply dial-in from a modem for out-of-band control.
Intelligent Power Control
The TPS-2 can communicate over any TCP/IP network using standard Telnet, or out-of-band using an external modem and basic VT100 type terminalemulation. Each outlet can be assigned an individual password, device name, reboot delay time and unique power-up default state.
Address-specific IP security masks prevent unauthorized sources from accessing the TPS-2 menu via network. TheTPS-2 provides two levels of operating passwords; the System Administrator Level (which allows access to all configuration and switching functions), and the User Level (which only allows switching of assigned plugs.)
Easy to Configure, Easy to Use
The TPS-2 can be configured via network, via modem, or locally via the TPS-2 Console Port. Easy to use commands let you assign a location name, set system parameters, and view plug status. Outlets can be switched On, Off, or Booted using plug names or numbers.
TPS-2 Mounting Options
Optional mounting kits are available for various installationconfigurations. Our Rack Mount Kit allows installation in standard, 19 inch equipment racks and our Wall Mount Bracket kit allows the TPS-2 to be secured to a wall board.
Includes Enterprise Management Software
All WTI console server products include WTI’s convenient Enterprise Management Software, which drastically simplifies the task of managing multiple console servers spread throughout your network infrastructure. The WMU Enterprise Management Software provides a centralized command interface that allows administrators to easily manage, label and control multiple WTI console servers in large network applications, reducing the time required to access console port command functions on connected devices.
Once installed on your PC or laptop, the Enterprise Management Software can search a user-defined IP address range on your network and discover all WTI console servers within the range. Discovered units are then added to the Enterprise Management Software’s inventory, allowing administrators to assign a descriptive tag to each console server in order to denote the location or function of the device. In addition to providing a centralized interface for remote console port access, the Enterprise Management Software can also be used to control firmware updates for WTI products and edit and manage user accounts at individual or multiple WTI console servers.
