Managing power at a remote equipment rack would be pretty simple if we could all afford to keep IT support personnel on duty at that remote equipment rack 24/7. Rebooting troublesome network elements, tracking power consumption and monitoring rack temperatures would be simple if the remote equipment rack was within arm’s reach of an on-site technician, but who has that kind budget these days? Well, as it turns out, just about everybody can afford a WTI Remote Power Management unit, which can accomplish all of those tasks and more … without on-site support personnel.
WTI Remote Power Management units allow you to control On/Off and reboot switching at remote network equipment sites, and monitor temperature, power supply stability and other factors from the comfort of your office. The WTI Remote Power Management unit can monitor rack temperatures, current usage, device responsiveness, invalid access attempts and other relevant factors and promptly report when any of those conditions exceeds user-defined threshold values … and it never takes a coffee break or calls in sick for the day.
Supports Both IPv4 and IPv6
In order to prepare for the upcoming switchover to IPv6 protocol, all WTI Remote Power Management Products now provide full support for both IPv4 and IPv6 (the intended successor to IPv4.) This helps to ensure that WTI Remote Power Management Products purchased today will be fully compatible with the planned IPv6 internet environment, and will not be rendered obsolete when the IPv6 protocol eventually becomes the new worldwide standard for network communications.
