The MPC-20VD32-3 provides power distribution and delivery to rack mount equipment while managing critical elements via IP, external modem or local terminal. The MPC-20VD32-3 can monitor and distribute power to your equipment and automatically notify you when changes in current levels, temperature, circuit breaker status or other factors exceed user-defined threshold values. Power at each outlet can be remotely switched On/Off individually, as a group for dual power supply servers, with a time delay or scheduled for On/Off shutdowns to conserve energy in the data center. Total power usage on each circuit can be graphically displayed to report spikes or drops in amperage, voltage, watts and temperature.

Remote Power Metering and Notification
The MPC-20VD32-3 constantly monitors current, temperature levels and circuit breaker status at your network equipment rack. If the MPC-20VD32-3 detects that user defined thresholds for these values have been exceeded, the unit can promptly notify you via email, SNMP, Syslog, text message, LED or audible alarm. In addition, the MPC-20VD32-3 can also notify you when it detects a ping-no-answer, when the Invalid Access Lockout has been triggered, or when a loss of communication with the optional auxiliary units is detected. The MPC-20VD32-3 can also record current fluctuations to a convenient log file, which can be retrieved in either XML, CVS format or displayed graphically via the unit's web interface. The MPC-20VD32-3 is perfect for local and remote power monitoring!
Security and Co-Location
Secure Shell (SSHv2) encryption and address-specific IP security masks prevent unauthorized access to command and configuration functions. The MPC-20VD32-3 also provides four different levels of user security; the Administrator, Supervisor, User and View Only level. The Administrator level, which is intended for use by system managers and other administrators, provides complete access to all outlet functions, operating features and configuration menus. The User level is ideal for co-location applications, since users are only permitted to view status and control outlets allowed by their user name and password.
The MPC-20VD32-3 also features SSL security for the web interface; allowing up to five simultaneous SSL web browser sessions. SSH protects the text interface. The MPC-20VD32-3 includes full Radius support, LDAP capability, DHCP and an invalid access lockout feature. An Audit Trail feature records all user access, login and logout times and command actions.
If you use enterprise management software for your data centers and networks, the MPC-20VD32-3 has MIB support and SNMP control (v1,v2c,v3) for the management of multiple devices with large scale applications.
High-Density Power Distribution
The MPC-20VD32-3 features dual power circuits, delivering more power to your equipment within a smaller footprint. The high density space saving MPC-20VD32-3 comes in a 230 VAC model with IEC320-C13 outlets and distributes 11.7 kW to the equipment rack. The MPC-20VD32-3 is also available with an optional remote front panel, which can be used to display the status of the MPC-20VD32-3 when installed in hard-to-reach spots within equipment racks. Each MPC-20VD32-3 unit can also be used to control up to three additional units via RJ45 connectors while utilizing a single IP.
Branch Circuit Protection
The MPC-20VD32-3 features UL 489 circuit breakers for branch circuit protection. Complying with UL and National Electric Code standards is necessary when powering and protecting Information Technology Equipment. The MPC-20VD32-3 complies with UL 60950-1 standards for branch circuit protection in the data center. A single MPC-20VD32-3 unit provides dual power delivery when running two power inputs to accommodate dual power supply devices. In the event of a tripped breaker, the remaining branches continue to supply power to network critical equipment within your rack or cabinet. The unit can also notify administrators when a circuit has tripped or blown by sending an alarm via SNMP, Email, Syslog, text message, audible alarm or LED.
